About BeHabit
BeHabit is an independent habit tracker for iPhone and Android. It’s built on a simple idea: habits are made of small, repeated actions, and they survive the days you miss, as long as you come back.
BeHabit, be happy
Why the name?
Say BeHabit out loud and you’re one sound away from “be happy”. That’s on purpose. We think the small things you keep doing, kindly and without guilt, are one of the quieter ways to feel good about your days. So the app celebrates showing up, not being perfect.
Say hi to Habbi
Habbi lives in the app, next to your day, and reacts to what you do, never to what you didn’t: a missed day gets a calm face and a way back, not a frown.

What we build, and what we won’t
Local by default
Your habits live on your phone. No account is needed to use BeHabit, it works offline, and nothing leaves the device unless you turn on Premium backup or share a habit.
Kind to bad days
Missing a day restarts a streak, never your history. The app is designed around coming back, not around guilt.
Free where it counts
Tracking, reminders and insights are free for up to 4 habits. Premium adds unlimited habits, widgets, cloud sync, shared habits, Siri and Gemini, and Apple Health: extras, never a dependency.
No dark patterns
No streak-loss alarms, no fake scarcity, no invented reviews or user counts on this site. When real ratings exist, we’ll show them.
How we write about habits
The BeHabit blog is written by the team that makes the app. Our editorial rules:
- Every factual claim links to its source: the original study or a DOI, not a blog that quoted it.
- We don’t repeat statistics we can’t trace, however often they appear elsewhere.
- Ideas that come from other writers are credited to them.
- Posts show when they were published and when they were last updated.
- Each article ends by describing how the app handles the topic, and only mentions features BeHabit really has.
Spotted a mistake or a claim that needs a better source? Tell us at contact@behabit.app and we’ll fix it and note the update.
