Delete your account and data
You can delete your BeHabit account, and everything stored with it, at any time. BeHabit works without an account, so if you never signed in, none of your data is on our servers.
Delete it in the app
- Open BeHabit, go to Settings, and tap your account at the top (Account).
- Tap Delete account, then confirm.
- You are signed out and the account is deleted straight away.
No longer have the app?
Email contact@behabit.app from the address you signed in with, with the subject “Delete my account”. We check the request comes from you, delete the account within 30 days (usually within a few days), and reply when it is done.
If you used Sign in with Apple and hid your email, include the address shown in the app, or delete the account from the app instead.
What is deleted
- Your account: email address and sign-in details.
- Your cloud backup: habits, check-ins, notes, settings and place reminders.
- Habits you shared, and your name and counts in habits other people shared with you.
What is kept
- Data on your phone. Habits stored on the device stay there until you erase them in Settings › Data & backup › Erase local data, or uninstall the app.
- Purchase records. Google Play, the App Store and RevenueCat keep the subscription records they are required to keep for tax and accounting. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it first in Google Play or in your Apple ID subscriptions.
- Routine database backups. Copies in our database provider’s routine backups are overwritten within 30 days. We keep no other copy.
Delete only some data
To erase habits on your phone only, use Settings › Data & backup › Erase local data; your account and cloud backup stay. To remove your cloud backup or shared habits while keeping your account, email contact@behabit.app.
