Export
Settings › Data & backup › Export to a file creates “a JSON file with every habit and check-in”, named like behabit-backup-2026-09-27.json. Your phone’s share sheet opens, so you can save it to Files, send it by email or AirDrop, or put it in a cloud drive.
Import
Settings › Data & backup › Import from a file and choose a BeHabit export. Importing merges with what’s already on the phone instead of replacing it, so you won’t lose anything.
If the file isn’t a BeHabit export, you’ll see “That file is not a Behabit backup.”
A good habit
Export once in a while and keep the file somewhere safe. It’s your backup if your phone is lost.
